Bid Euchre
Bid Euchre is a variation on the classic card game Euchre. The main difference is that you bid for the number of tricks you think you can take and the trump suit. The game consists of four players. Cards are dealt using face cards only (J Q K A) of the four suits (Spades, Clubs, Diamonds and Hearts). Since we use a double-deck, there is a duplicate of each card.
Bid Euchre is played at the Community Center every Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. on a year-round basis. Our summer residents really enjoy the game and we get upwards of 15 tables out in the summer.
Playing 6 games is the standard which generally takes approximately two hours. Generally, the Club hosts 2 Bid Euchre Tournaments - one in spring and one in fall. These Tournaments have an entry fee which helps cover the cash prizes available to the winners, along with dessert and coffee. Please come out and try Bid Euchre. We play for fun and would be more than happy to teach you the game. The cost is $4.00 for non-members and $3.00 for members.
